Nintendo has (shockingly) been a leader on day-one digital releases on the 3DS and Wii U. Third-party support has been inconsistent, but Capcom plans to make up for lost time. In the coming months it will be adding much of its back-catalog to the 3DS eShop.
In an Ask Capcom thread on the Capcom Unity forums (via Siliconera), senior VP Christian Svensson said, "Many of our our other previously released 3DS titles will be coming to the eShop in the coming months. Details to follow when we're closer to release." He did note, however, that the company is "looking at what's coming next, not what's come previously" for the most part.
Svensson didn't mention which games will be making the journey, but the question he was responding to explicitly name-dropped Resident Evil Revelations as an example. He said "other" games would be coming, which means that one is probably off the table. Games like Resident Evil: Mercenaries and Street Fighter IV 3D, however, are distinct possibilities.
