Descend into The Cave on January 22
by Steve Watts, Jan 15, 2013 9:15am PSTDouble Fine's classically styled adventure project The Cave is right around the corner. Publisher Sega announced today that it will be available started in January 22 for PlayStation 3 and Wii U, and then January 23 for Xbox 360 and Steam. It will cost $14.99 across all platforms.
The Cave comes from Ron Gilbert, the mind behind Maniac Mansion and Monkey Island. It shares a lot in common with those classics, featuring a set of wacky characters in a 2D "Metroidvania" style cave. Our own Jeff Mattas was grinning all the way through his demo, which seems like a good sign for Gilbert's blend of humor and puzzles.
