Microsoft sure does love its limited edition controllers. The next colorful addition to your lineup of Halo-themed controllers is Tomb Raider.

The "Tomb Raider Limited Edition Wireless Controller" as it's officially called is "the perfect commemorative companion marking Lara Croft's return to the Xbox 360," according to Microsoft's official PR. Designed in collaboration with Crystal Dynamics, the red controller is scratched and bandaged--much like Lara will be in the first two hours of the game!

One reason to pick up the Tomb Raider controller is that it features a "transforming" D-Pad that promises to offer better digital controls. This should give you a leg-up in what we can only presume is a hidden 2D fighting game mode.

The controller will be available simultaneously with the game, and will be available for $59.99. Buying the controller will also give you a download token for an Xbox-exclusive playable character--"Scavenger Archer"--for multiplayer.
