Thankfully, the Mayans were wrong, so Weekend Confirmed is back for Part 2 of the special holiday/year-end celebration, with some predictions about hardware and software for 2013. Garnett Lee is joined by Jeff Cannata, Jeff Mattas, Andrew Yoon, Andrea Rene, Jason Paul, Christian Spicer, Mike Schramm, and James Stevenson. Here in Vancity, I have a friend on the Need for Speed team who swears up and down that the CoD mindset of "we need a feature set that's as 'sticky' as CoD" applies to their games as well. Racing games.

    I just think that guiding the design/innovation/feature set for a racing game based on the successful formula for an FPS is a dangerous path to go down...
    
    But it seems as though Criterion is basically given free reign to do what they want, so I just fear for the Vancouver dev team that handles the odd years like 'The Run'
