Earth Defense Force 2017 Portable, the Vita iteration of the Xbox 360 game, will hit the PlayStation Network on January 8 for $39.99. The game was originally a budget release at the same price on the console, but the portable version has been remastered and sports a handful of new levels and features to tempt back players and attract new ones.

According to the PlayStation Blog, the game will include seven new stages, Pale Wing with her trademark jet pack, and several new weapons added to the full roster of 230. You can also play online multiplayer in co-op and versus modes, a first for the series.

The original EDF 2017 received a mixed reception, gaining a cult following despite some technical shortcomings.
