While you prepare your floppy wigs and furry feet to go see The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, you can amuse yourself with some movie-themed downloadable content for the console MOBA Guardians of Middle-Earth. Two new characters have been made available for purchase today, along with a free map skin for all players.

Bilbo Baggins and Bert the Troll are downloadable for $2 (160 MSP) apiece. Bilbo is the lead character of the new movie and serves as a Striker-type Guardian. Bert is one of the three trolls Bilbo meets on his quest, and is a Tactician-type Guardian. You can also grab a Shire map skin to make everything look a little more lush and green. Check out our review for more details on the game.

I tried the demo and it was kinda fun. It felt a lot slower than LoL or Dota2 and I couldn't purchase any items.

I like the lane upgrade mechanic though.

It's a more dumb down version of like LoL. Bought the game and you can get relics but you have to level during the match to unlock those relics. The relics are pretty much the items you purchase in like LoL or Dota 2. Strikers are way under powered the are for doing the base attack and they do like around 150. While most other characters use their abilities and are doing same damage or higher than that.
