Report: End of Nations dev cuts 30 staff
by Steve Watts, Dec 05, 2012 1:00pm PSTEnd of Nations developer Petroglyph has reportedly laid off 30 employees. This news comes just a week after we received word that the game's open beta had been delayed indefinitely and the alpha was being taken offline.
Eurogamer reported the layoffs, which were later at least partially confirmed by one of the affected employees. No reason for the layoffs was given. We reached out to Petroglyph for comment, but have received no response.
When the beta was delayed, community manager Myll Erik noted that it hadn't been canceled, saying to readers "just wait and let us deliver a better game."
Eurogamer speculates that between the indefinite delay and the layoffs, it seems likely that Petroglyph is refocusing its resources on its MOBA, Battle for Graxia.
