Stomped has learned about a big update coming for Soldier of Fortune. Raven will be releasing about 15-20 new multiplayer levels with new team modes, new multiplayer character models and also a bot. The AI for the game will be improved as well. This update will be for free, but will also be appearing in stores as Soldier of Fortune Gold. It should be out by the end of August.

Yes I was getting SQL errors, my guess is due to a Mr. StuMan8424 and his spamathon.

Why would I want to buy the full version of the game AGAIN for something I can't play just to run a server? Note that I said DEDICATED server.. My boxes are all colocated at various places, it's not like I can go there and install the full version of SoF and play. Everyone else has a DEDICATED server which doesn't allow playing, just hosting, why doesn't SoF have this?

Too bad there isn't a dedicated linux server. I would love to run some SoF servers off of the 6 boxes I have running Quake 3 and Counter Strike servers. Maybe with the surge in fast home connections no one feels the need for linux servers anymore.
