Ace Combat: Assault Horizon finally coming to PC

It's been more than a year since Ace Combat: Assault Horizon came out on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and fans hoping to test their aerial dogfighting skills on PC only got radio silence from publisher Namco Bandai. But now the PC version finally is on the radar for Q1 2013.

The "Enhanced Edition" will be coming to Steam sometime in Q1 2013 and be optimized for PC controls and graphics. It will have much of the DLC that was available in the console versions, as well as new aircraft and skins. Multiplayer will use Games for Windows Live.

A version of the PS3 game with DLC launched on the PlayStation Store today. The full Xbox 360 version will be available on Xbox Live Games on Demand on December 18.

Wow cool, this is great news, I really like all the PC love, going to keep happening for a long time and become a trend.

Also you never know the new PS4(Orbis) and Xbox 2 maybe make devs love the PC even more so, we shall see what happens in June 11-13.

Valcan, brother, do yourself a favor and pass on this game. It is a colossal turd. Seriously, it is awful.

:( lame, I have that cool Ace Combat 6 flight stick and was really looking forward to it.

          Is it really that bad?

They cut out a lot of the freeform gameplay in this one in favor of more fast-pased "in your face" action, with bullet time segments where you're basically zooming about on rails just shooting things... as I understand it.

I skipped this game too, as painful as it was... I also own the AC6 (and AC5) flightsticks. They should remaster THOSE games and bring them to the PC, not this awful thing.

Damn it :( so sad, well shit that is a downer. I agree that be rad, well even though some hate on it and it's not Ace, HAWX 2 was cool on the PC, I am waiting for 3 just don't know if it will happen.

Well at least this news could mean the next Ace will come to the PC right away they just got to go back to the roots on 7, hope so.

Yup, that's how I felt about it. Awful game, and the previous ones are among my all time favorites.

If you want a fun arcade air combat game then it's decent enough, i thought it was ok anyway.

The DFM mode you used to engage in dogfights does get a bit annoying after a while when you've got to used it time and time again to take out squad leaders etc, but all in all it's fun for a good price, i got it for a tenner.

Is this the first Ace Combat to come to PC?

Sucks that it sucks. Last one I played was 4 and I really enjoyed it.

I wish I could be more excited about this - the most recent Ace Combat was largely disappointing. :-/
