It's a new week, which means a new set of co-op missions for Halo 4's Spartan Ops mode. This week's missions revolve around the discovery of the Sangeheili terrorist known as "The Didact's Hand" on Requiem. And for those of you who like her, Catherine Halsey makes another appearance in the preview trailer.

Also, this week's update swaps out Team Snipers for FFA Throwback in multiplayer, according to Halo Waypoint. FFA Throwback will include Oddball and King of the Hill free-for-all modes. There will be five maps for the two modes: Haven, Adrift, Complex, Solace, and Abandon.

If you haven't done enough killing of Forerunners or other Spartans, get to it. Oh, and here's the teaser for Didact's Hand co-op:

I like the books, especially the latest trilogy that bridges the gap between Halo 3 and Halo 4. It's cool seeing how they piece it all together.

Same I've read the books but still feel that 343 could do more to promote the story especially in Spartan ops. I guess it's one of those trying to please everyone things and as for doing more with spartan ops it might be a business decision, why spend tine and money making free content?

Anyhow I'm still liking where the story in spartan ops is going, it looks like it's leading up to some big stuff relating to the forerunner trilogy of books.

I like that Jul 'Mdama is coming back, since he was dumped on that outlying Covenant planet at the end of The Thursday War. It will be interesting to see how the third book deals with that between then and now

When Episode 2 opened up without the need to download. I knew the reason the first season was free was because it was already on the disc.

Which means Season 2 has been what they're working on for the last few months ... or it's already nearly done and Season 3 is already started :P

Maybe they fucked up, but last week for about an hour or so, ffa throwback was up. I played a few rounds, then team snipers popped up.

Stupid that they swap game types. They should just keep adding. I don't think it takes up resources.

I remember listening to an interview before the game launched and the interviewer asked the 343 guy if there would be playlists in halo 4 that would be switched out like in previous games. The 343 guy said that the problem with just adding playlists is that it further devides the player base and makes it harder to find games on other playlists. Well it was something like that.

All rehashed maps, if they expect money for future seasons with the same old maps, they can forget it.
