'Several' Sonic games in the works for 2013
by Steve Watts, Nov 09, 2012 4:15pm PSTOf course Sega is working on brand new Sonic the Hedgehog games; there's clearly much more milk to squeeze out of their rodent mascot. With the exception of a kart racing game, there hasn't been a mainline Sonic game available at retail this year--something that will change in 2013.
Speaking to Toys n Playthings (via CVG), European brand licensing head Sissel Henno detailed its plans for the next year. "We will have several new digital titles launching as well as a new boxed game, so there will be plenty of opportunities to link marketing campaigns across games and merchandise," he said.
The last Sonic platformer to find release was Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2.

But hey, those Genesis games were rad. I still play em. And if someone brought back Knuckles Chaotix, I'd re-buy that too.
