Take-Two registers Links trademark
by John Keefer, Nov 06, 2012 4:00pm PSTTake-Two Interactive has filed a trademark for Links, presumably to resurrect the golf series it purchased from Microsoft back in 2004.
Links was a rather prolific golf series by Access Software which began life in 1990. The last game in the series came in 2003, when Links 2003 released on the original Xbox. The franchise has been dormant since.
The trademark discovered by internet super sleuth Superannuation could open the door for a new game in the series through a new developer. It did the same thing last year with Top Spin 4, developed by 2K Czech. However, beyond the registration, there is no hint at what Take-Two would do with the series at this time.
