When did being realistic or pragmatic automatically become cynical? It seems like with everything on the internet you always either love loving things or hate things outright, all the nuance gets stripped from discussion.
I love the games that I love but by no means do I think that everything that comes out or ever a large percentage of that is going to be for me, and stating this plainly and calmly across the internet gets labelled as cynical. Nowadays I cringe a bit when someone uses the term too loosely in something because it tends to mean that they want no further discourse because they have made up their mind about you and your reasons and opinions out of the gate. (He is a HATER why do I care what a HATER thinks)
Also the idea that everyone who is being negative about something is doing it for the ironic cool of it (ala Mr. Yoon) is insane.
