Pre-ordering Crysis 3 will get you a free copy of the original game, EA and Crytek announced today. The offer is good across all platforms, thanks to last year's console port of the first game.

You'll also get the "Hunter Edition," because pre-ordering any EA game these days gets you the Something Edition. In this case, the package includes a Predator Bow and Hunter Nanosuit for use in multiplayer, along with a bonus XP boost up to level 5, a Predator bow skin, and three exclusive dog tags. The game is due in February 2013.

Crysis 2 was a flop, why will this be better?

Well from the various videos I've seen the third one looks a lot better than the 2nd.

I just hope the story's better as well.

From the C3 videos I've seen, it looks the same as C2 :/

C2 actually wasn't that bad, visuals where a bit lacking is all. Only reason C1 was so good was because of the groundbreaking graphics made for PC. From the videos C3 looks damn nice but not ground breaking, maybe wait until the next gen consoles hit. Or who knows more Devs might wake up like Dice and create games like BF3, instead of recycled horrible looking made for console games.

Thank you for speaking the truth. Shackers around here are so delusional. They keep insisting that Crysis 2 was fun because of the cool twists and turns in the story and those original-looking alien monsters. That's fine and all... but Crysis 1 was off the charts groundbreaking graphics. Crysis 2 just didn't have enough high enough resolution textures. The HD texture pack fixed some of that, but it's not HD enough. I wish Crytek could go back and fix that, because then I'd like the game a lot more. I think you're right on the money about Crysis 3. It's not nex-gen, so why bother? Crysis 4 will be the best. Can't wait.

My friends keep trying to get me to buy this game Dark Souls on the consoles, but the graphics are so UUUGGLLYYY. Ugh. Can't do it. When is Darker Souls coming out?

In Crysis, I had lots of fun destroying everything. Fighting the humans was fun too.

In Crysis 2, I didn't really destroy things that much. Not sure why, maybe there weren't as many things to destroy? I destroyed stuff again in my replay of Crysis. The human enemies in Crysis 2 look like aliens. I don't like fighting them. I didn't like fighting the actual aliens either. I don't think I'm going to ever replay the game.

It was a sweet game, but it was disappointing compared the original. It seemed to be narrower experince at well. It seemed more run and gun to me and didn't really give you as many opportunities to smash it up or go ninja like the original did. I also didn't like that the weapon mods were more restricted too. It wasn't a bad game, it just paled compared the the original.

Too bad you didn't see the awesome gameplay in Crysis. Perhaps you were just blinded by the amazing graphics.

I replay Crysis every once in a while solely because of the gameplay. Graphics are become old, hard to believe, I know, but the great gameplay is still fresh and better than in modern FPS.

100% agreed here. I just felt that there was a lot more choice in what you could do in the original compared to Crysis 2. While the level was overall linear, the original was like HL2 where you had a sandbox option in dealing with situations. That's what made it very open to me. I'm hoping Crysis 3 is more like the original where there are more tactical options for dealing with situations.

Original Crysis and Warhead are definitely still in my rotation of PC games to this day. I still play it about 4-5 times every year for the period of several days since the game came out.

Crysis 1 was fun and it's not just about the graphics. And in Crysis Warhead they made it even better but in Crysis 2, they've completed console'd the game and the gameplay is way worse than the first two.
