You'd think that the recent release of Resident Evil 6 would have slowed down sales of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. However, fans are proving that they love terrible Resident Evil games. In its latest financial report, Capcom noted that Slant Six's shooter "enjoyed steady growth in sales." Additionally, the game's "stable popularity" has contributed to "improved profit" from the game's numerous DLC expansions.

The Resident Evil franchise shows no sign of slowing down, with Capcom having shipped 4.5 million copies of its latest game, Resident Evil 6, the highest ever for a Capcom game. In addition, the Resident Evil: Outbreak Survive social game on GREE now has two million registered members, with fans hungry for even more RE content.

Picked it up used for $10, at that price I had to try it out despite the negative reactions.

[PC version] You know I really enjoy this game its a guilty pleasure(even though it got slammed), I like the few skills you can unlock and the other RPG light stuff(nothing hard core). The combat is solid nothing new but I enjoy the gun fights and the RE universe it kept my interest. I guess it helps I am a Gears fan and enjoy third person cover shooters. One thing it seems to do well is the AI is sort of real players or just good ambient/filler, not that they are awesome I don't know what it is just feels cool feel like I am playing with friends not a Dragon Dogma or anything I just like it.

The FOV is a little small so I play in multi mon which works great except some shadows get jacked and I think their frame buffer blows up on one post effect / shadder effect for a skill for one class in multi mon.

Bottom line I really enjoy playing it is really fun, skills are a great idea more should do this.

I recommend it if you can get it for cheap, its really not bad at all.

Alot of this is what I took away from the video review I watched and what interested me. No, it's not your normal RE game, but for what it does, I think it's worth anything under $20-30.

100% I bought it on day one(full price) cause I like RE and third person shooters and I never regretted it, I was more like wtf are people hating on it(well reviewers really). And those reviewers saying this game sucks its not like RE well no shit its a different play style/game get over it it never was supposed to be RE6 they said that day one.

Kinda reminds me of the negativity surrounding the Ratchet and Clank coop game, the complaint being that it's not a "true" R&K game. And it is not, but here's the thing, it's a fun 4 player coop game set in the R&K universe with some of the key elements in tact (zany upgrade-able weapons and collecting the bolts). Just as this seems to be a potentially fun game set in the RE world. No, it doesn't follow the standard RE mix or R&K mix perhaps, but we clamor for something different, a developer tries and they get push back on how similar it was to previous iterations. Such a duality that exists in gaming. We want different but all same. A fun game can be a fun game, I wouldn't get too caught up on disliking it for not following past games in the series and their direction.

How is the COOP does it use GFWL? I would probably play this with just 1 other person.
