Assassin's Creed 3 launch-day patch detailed
by Alice O'Connor, Oct 30, 2012 9:30am PDTIf you're picking up Assassin's Creed 3 today, you'll want to make sure you go online to download the launch-day patch. Ubisoft has detailed a big long list of things the patch fixes with its open-world murder simulator, which you'll want unless you fancy imagining that the in-game Animus VR machine itself is on the fritz and glitching out.
The patch notes explain the game shipped with a load of issues ranging from animation glitches and getting stuck to mission-halting bugs and outright crashes. Fortunately, the patch fixes them. Or the ones detailed there, at least.
Role-playing Desmond stuck inside a malfunctioning world certainly could add an interesting extra level to the game, so give that a go if you're stuck, say, in the path of a hurricane and your Internet's a bit spotty right now.
Assassin's Creed 3 hit Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 today, then will come to Wii U on November 18 and PC on November 20. Be sure to check out Andrew's review.
Splinter Cell Blacklist co-op modes partially detailed
FIFA 14 on PC won't use Ignite engine
Ace Attorney Trilogy coming to iOS next week
Far Cry 3 editor jazzed up with Blood Dragon shinies
Epic Mickey 2 for Vita coming June 18
