Angry Birds Star Wars trailer shows first gameplay
by Steve Watts, Oct 29, 2012 12:45pm PDTAngry Birds Star Wars is a cute idea, not to mention a potential money-making juggernaut for Rovio. But all of the trailers so far have sold the concept in broad cartoon terms. Today, we've gotten our first look at the gameplay thanks to a new trailer.
Not surprisingly, it looks like Angry Birds, with a few artifacts from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. We see two of the birds' special abilities: Luke (the red bird) swinging a lightsaber at a structure and Leia (pink) shooting her blasters at an AT-AT walker. The gameplay glimpse is very brief, but it seems safe to conclude from this look that the game on the whole will similarly be Angry Birds with a shiny coat of Star Wars paint. The game is slated for November 8.

Second, don't you think that they're in some arrangement where they don't pay Lucasfilm up front but rather just share the profits? To say nothing of the royalties they'll be sharing with the dozens of toy companies.
