Last week I started a conversation that I had not prepared adequately for. I saw an image of Geoff Keighley between a Doritos and Mountain Dew display and thought to myself "well, that's a thing we definitely ought to talk about."
This image, though, was just a provocative header for an editorial about a situation where members of the games media were tweeting in hopes of winning a free PS3. The article then led to a larger discussion on the relationship between videogame PR and the people who cover the industry.
Though I fully expect to get raked mercilessly as is the Internet's way, I'm going to give a segment of the show to the subject this week. And then we're going to lay it to rest for a while.
So, I appreciate that tensions have run high, mean things have been said and feelings bruised.. We're going to set that aside. This thread is the place to add your voice to the discussion. I expect you know but just in case, if you come in hostile and aggressive there's not much chance of being heard. But if you're thoughtful, regardless your point of view, you're going to be part of the discussion.
