Rockstar Games has been awfully quiet about Grand Theft Auto 5. In fact, we haven't heard a peep since last August. That's about to change next month, as the company has announced it's planning to release "lots of info."

That's probably because the December issue of Game Informer will have GTA5 as its cover story. But for now, you can simply chew on this teaser image Rockstar has released--the first "official art release" for the game. Oh look in the sky--an airplane.

I guess this means we should expect some info about the nextggeneration of consoles.

I doubt it as this game will come out to current generation consoles.

While doubtful, I really hope this launches on the Wii U as I would love to have the map shown on the gamepad if nothing else.

I'm not really that interested in the Wii U (and will probably never buy one) but there are some cases where the Gamepad does sound nice. Large interactive overhead maps is one of the big ones.

What about using Smart Glass on your phone/tablet for the 360 when it comes out?

Yeah, that's kind of cool too, but it's a separate device. Having the screen in the actual device you are holding makes it more natural to look at. Most of the time I think it might be annoying to have a huge controller in my hand, but the idea of a large map which I could rotate and zoom etc... gets me excited.

Not trying to start a WiiU fanboy thread, but holding the Gamepad is actually comfortable. Using it quelled that fear.

Where did you get a chance to try it? I want to get it in my hands to see what it feels like.

Not at all. Being able to view and interact with a map on the gamepad would be fantastic for a game like this. Especially for how long it took to bring up the GTA4 one and zoom around.

it's true that the map was never quick enough in the game before. I wonder if it will be annoying for some to have to look up and down from the screen to the controller, i played some zombieU and i felt some of that.

might just take a little getting used to.
