Halo 4 Map Pass adds nine DLC multiplayer maps
by John Keefer, Oct 24, 2012 11:10am PDTAs expected for a tripe-A multiplayer game like Halo 4, there will be a DLC season pass available. Developer 343 Industries had revealed that the War Games Map Pass would be available for sale when the game launched November 6, but we finally find out what maps the DLC will include.
The pass, which will cost $24.99 (2000 Microsoft Points) covers three packs, each containing three maps:
Crimson Map Pack - December
Majestic Map Pack - February
Castle Map Pack - April
The pass also includes two new in-game helmets and a new Falcon emblem. If you have ordered the Limited Edition, the map pass will be included.
To go with the announcement, Microsoft has released the gameplay launch trailer, a nice reprieve from the live-action Forward Unto Dawn series and the David Fincher-produced "Scanned" commercial.

Halo 4 is opening up multiplayer in a few different ways, with co-op Spartan Ops mode and the more traditional War Games mode. If the latter is what you think the series is all about, then yank out your wallet and fork over $24.99 (or 2000 Microsoft points) for a new War Games Map Pass that covers three DLC map packs to be delivered after the games November 6 launch.
