NASA Hacked
by Steve Gibson, Jul 04, 2000 8:57am PDTBeing as it is the 4th of July we should celebrate what is great about America or something right? Well it has just been released that a hacker back in 1997 actually disrupted a NASA mission while it was in progress interrupting NASA's ability to monitor the life signs of the astronauts.
We had an activity at NASA center where a hacker was overloading our system...to such an extent that it interfered with communications between the NASA center, some medical communications and the astronaut aboard the shuttleYeah, this story is actually 2 days old but so is the glass of milk on my desk, and I'm still lookin at it.

but i can't stand this 'america is the best nation in the world' crap from anybody.
sure, it's a great nation with a great economy and a whole bunch of other things.
i am a german citizen, but i had the chance to live in america for a whole year and i'm gonna come back to go to college.
eventually, i'm even gonna move to the us, cuz i like it.
still, other countries around the world are great, too:
germany has beer (know this one: american beer is like sex in a canoe - fucking close to water ,-)), octoberfest, cheap mercedes benz and bmw, autobahn without speed limits, more isdn as japan and the us together, and other cool stuff.
any european country got a whole bunch of old buildings and structures like castles and stuff that is woth seeing it (though it gets on my nervs after a while).
the netherlands has legal pot, legal protisution, wooden shoes, windmills, cheese, and maaaaaaa'eeeeeeeeen.
italians have pasta like fetticini, maccaroni, spaghetti, spirelli, ravioli, lasagne, and pizza.
even russia got something good. if you are american or german or from some country with a good economy, your money is worth 300 times as their money. you can virtually buy everything you want (especially vodka and women) for only a couple of bucks.
again, don't get me wrong.
i really like the us and their cool stuff, like more freedoms then we got, cheap technology (though still behind japan and china) and job- and travel-opportunities.
i just don't like how everybody thinks, the us is the best country in the world.
have you ever lived somewhere else then in the us?
i mean, really lived, not just one or two weeks at the vacation-spot, i mean real day-in, day-out living.
try and find out that other countries are nice, too.
ilf
(really likes the us)

princessmaggie...
Everyone's worthless piece of loyalty is just plain disgusting. If you don't like how things are run, get the fuck out. Canada and Norway are supposedly great places to check out, why don't you go there? I'd understand where its ok it bitch about this and that, but there are some stupid mofos who like to say this country is the worst place to live and they hate every minute. Those people really piss the hell out of me and I'd love to ship 'em somewhere else; I'd even pay for it!
I wouldn't of mind if this was posted any other day, but the one day we're actually supposed to be proud of forefathers, you like to bitch about NASA, the one department that saved the face of America by taking us to the moon and back. How do you think the USA would've turned out if Russia was controlling space?
Remove this stupid news story and be grateful for once. Show us something GOOD about the USA.

Bastards.
Fuck 'em.
I say we all move to Canada, take it over, send the Canucks to live here with the Communists/Socialists, and then life would be perfect, although filled with bacon, beer, and "eh?"s. I could get used to the "eh"s. :-)

So shame on you Zilla, for buying in to the borgois dream and for accepting that this is as good as it gets. I think every American is as proud of this country as you are, but we'd all like to have a little bit more of it in our hands.

Now which monkey is #13.... see no evil? .... speak no evil? .... or hear no evil?
Calling someone's patriotism into question because they say something (even slightly) negative about the U.S. is acting like a complete TROLL. If problems are not reported, just how are the underlying problems going to be fixed? Sometimes govenernment needs public opinion to weigh on it to get action. LOS ALAMOS secrets anyone? With the way administration handles secrets and security, its a wonder anything is secret or secure.
Happy 4th of July everyone!
I hope some of these hacker attacks are techno-Boston Tea Parties. Revolting against control.

But under no circumstances drink that milk,it is bad very, very bad and it will make you sick very, very sick.
does anyone else see anything wrong with this? Nasa is well, Nasa! i guess that no one is safe.
