It's "retiring" the apps, which is a kind way to say scrapping, and suggests you use the new dashboard Internet Explorer 9 app instead.
As the Xbox 360 fall dashboard update rolls out, people are spotting that they've been pulled from the app marketplace.
"We are retiring the Facebook and Twitter apps," Microsoft confirmed in a statement provided to Eurogamer. "Xbox Live subscribers will have the ability to access these sites through Internet Explorer on Xbox, available through the Web Hub located on the new dashboard."
Which is fair enough, I suppose, but there are surely some who will miss them.
