Carmageddon screeches onto iOS, free for today
by Alice O'Connor, Oct 17, 2012 7:30am PDTIf you commute on public transport but fancy recreating the pure murderous rage inspired by driving to work, you're in luck, as Stainless Games today launched the iOS edition of its vintage bloody racer Carmageddon. As Stainless promised during its Kickstarter campaign for Carmageddon: Reincarnation, the pocket edition is free for the first 24 hours.
Head on over to the iTunes App Store to pick up the iOS edition. It packs revamped graphics, iCloud support, achievements, leaderboards, game center integration, replays, movie editing with YouTube exporting, and other jazz. If you insist upon in-app purchases, you can pay to instantly unlock cars and races.
An Android edition is coming too, which will also be free at first.
