Now that you've picked up the Mechromancer in Borderlands 2, you're probably seeking some fresh enemies to sic your floating death machine towards. We saw hidden hints of another downloadable content pack tucked away in the Gaige content, and today Gearbox Software has announced that it's coming sooner than expected. Next week, as a matter of fact.

The Associated Press reports that the "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty" DLC features a new area called "Oasis" and focuses on the titular Captain Scarlett. You'll be fighting sand worms, piloting sand skiffs, and using a new currency called seraph crystals. The pack will hit on Tuesday, October 16, for $9.99. This campaign is part of the Season Pass, but Gearbox has previously said that some content will be produced outside the scope of the pass.

It's seriously amazing to me how people can't read that little line in the season pass, but sit here and read the most inane shit in the chatty.

notice how shacknews has to say this one IS included? tweets just says FOUR. doesn't say what's what. so will the next 3 releases in order also be included? or will there be a skip where there's separate DLC, then resuming the seasons pass content?

if he's referring to just cosmetic stuff, or small microtransactions, just say so and they aren't included in the seasons pass. it's so vague.

that's all I'm asking, hence the word ROADMAP.

Obviously they didn't release the names when they sold the Season Pass. I'm sure all DLC packs that are included will be specifically noted as included to keep people from double-buying. Although that probably won't even keep someone from doing it and complaining on the interwebs.

I think if we get any additional characters those are not included in the season pass, as it specifically said FOUR campaign expansions. Maybe we get more than four this time.

I hope they handle the fast travel a bit better than in the original borderlands DLC. It sucked that you always only one fast travel station in the DLC. If you left off three maps away, you had to travel those three maps again to get to it.

I wonder if they'll raise the level cap with this dlc or wait until later.

      And use VC = GMG25-EVFWS-4Z4ZN for $22.50

      It's better than $40.

isn't this site sketchy as hell? i think it's the one where people have had games revoked before due to them being russian activation codes.

I think you're thinking of a different site. GMG is completely legit.

GMG use to have some credit card issues and a lot of banks would calls asking if it was a legit charge but that was like a year ago. I haven't had any issues with the last 3 purchases I've made from them.

Nope, GMG is a UK Steam distribution partner. They are legit. I buy most of my Steam games from them because they are so cheap.

it's a fun class, but really, way too easy. if anything, i'd wait for a steam sale and pick it up for 1 or 2 bucks, if i really wanted to replay everything yet again.

It gets a little difficult toward the end of the normal campaign. My deathbot is lucky if he last more than 10 seconds.

Seriously, Gearbox - patch your game *before* releasing more DLC. I get it, the 'Season Pass' folk are probably clamoring at the bit for any reward from their purchase - but when you have issues like 'seemingly random profile corruption', fix that hole before adding more content.

I'm pretty sure the DLC was made by a separate team.
