If you want a taste of God of War: Ascension's single player campaign, you may have to stomach picking up the upcoming Blu-ray release of Total Recall. Unfortunately, to get the bonus, you'll have to get the 2012 Colin Farrell remake, not the 1990 film starring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Available on December 18th, the Blu-ray includes the "Extended Director's Cut" of the movie, adding 20 minutes of footage to the original theatrical cut. The disc also contains an alternate ending and over 1.5 hours of special features. The demo is also tucked away on the hybrid disc.

The demo is the same one we got to try at E3, so if you don't feel like picking up the movie, you could just watch this video instead:

I first saw the trailer and it appeared to be an exact remake of Total Recall. I thought wow, why the heck are they doing that.. such a stupid idea. The original was awesome, just leave at that.

But I was wrong.. it's not a remake. They change so many aspects about it; all of the good ones.
So what we're left with is a half original - half new movie that just sucks completely. It starts out ok (but total crap compared to the original), and then just gets worse and worse, more boring and more boring. Nothing exciting or interesting happens. I nearly even fell asleep. I NEVER fall asleep during movies!
