Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, and Sonic the Fighters rated for re-release
by Steve Watts, Oct 09, 2012 1:00pm PDTA trio of fighting games from Sega's heyday appear to be coming to current-gen consoles, thanks to yet another ratings board leak. Virtua Fighter 2, Fighting Vipers, and Sonic the Fighters have all been outed for the Xbox 360 (and it seems likely they would land on the PlayStation 3 as well).
The German ratings board USK (via Joystiq) revealed the three games. The three are almost a trilogy in themselves--Fighting Vipers was a natural extension of Virtua Fighter 2, and then Sonic the Fighters was the result of tinkering with Fighting Vipers.
These re-releases aren't confirmed without official word from Sega, but the company has a history of this sort of thing. Shacknews has contacted Sega and will update as more information becomes available.
