Ten years ago, I would have never thought I'd ever read books on anything else than paper. Amazon with its Kindle changed all of that. Trying to find older books can sometimes be a giant pain in the rear end though. I've been trying to hunt down an eBook format of a book named Warday by Whitley Strieber and James Kunetka from 1985 to no avail, which explores the United States after a limited nuclear strike alters the course of the nation. Thankfully I was able to get my hands on a printed edition, but attempting to track it down proved...difficult. The future has spoiled us all.

Chatty posts of the moment.

Make sure you log-in and check your filters if you can't see the following:

  • "Planetside 2 TOTAL WIPE EDITION. Anyone played on Esamir yet? Snow terrain is going to be pretty cool. Good show last night, loved splitting the squads and taking Rashnu. Baker Squad splitting off and cutting Rashnu away from the NC was pretty sweet. That alone screwed up the NC influence there. On a side note, don't forget to roll your NC characters!" [by MercFox1]

  • "PS4 will have 4K support I can taste it seems like a sure thing. Recently Sony other push seems they have starting pimping 4K I really hope these screens and the PS4 will make this tech and vision blow our minds with > rez and > real estate for our games next round. " [by valcan_s]

Streiber, the same Streiber who wrote Communion? The alien abductions, the greys and other UFO related incidents. I believe he was abducted too, as written his book.

      Gives me the willies.

Yup! He wrote that after Warday, which is no less creepy. Though in a different way. It's the same format as World War Z. The two authors place themselves in the fall out of a singular nuclear war with the Soviets. They then set out in a journey to the different regions of a shattered US and interview people about what their lives are like. It's dated for sure, but it is....compelling.

Awesome! Now I'll have to look for the book too. Haha, and so the hunt begins. :)
