XCOM: Enemy Unknown is less than a week from release, which means aliens are getting perilously close to liquifying us all. What better time to release a new trailer showing off the XCOM soldiers laying an appropriate bit of smack down on them?

The XCOM: Enemy Unknown launch trailer details a few of its accolades interspersed with liberal use of the game's cinematic combat camera. Check it out below.

Another "gameplay"-looking but not gameplay CGI video? Feels disingenuous. They should show the real thing. If even the CGI people make these crude, low-detailed models, I fear for how plastic and blobby the real game will look.

I think the game will be fine, I am just a bit baffled they're releasing it for full retail price, as opposed to a downloadable title.

MOOM is right. That's all in-game footage (with maybe an exception to the globe fly-by at the beginning). When a unit takes an action, the "glam cam" kicks in to make it play out in a more cinematic fashion.
