New Pac-Man game in the works, art style to be decided by fans
by Andrew Yoon, Oct 02, 2012 2:00pm PDTIt's been a while since we've enjoyed the neo-retro stylings of Pac-Man: Championship Edition DX. It's time for Namco Bandai to bring back the Pac--but in what way?
The publisher has gone to Facebook to announce plans for a new game. However, the company is undecided on what art style to employ for the game. A survey asks fans to decide between four different art styles (above).
As with the folks at MTV Multiplayer, we're quite smitten with the retro look of option D, but it appears fans are quite evenly divided.
In addition to quizzing fans on the art, Namco Bandai is also polling fans on what platforms they play "casual games" on--dashing our hopes that the Japanese publisher was going to reboot the franchise into a third-person cover shooter. Oh well.
