Grid 2 debut gameplay trailers show uncut laps

When it comes to a game's exciting first "gameplay trailer," far too many publishers are weaselly little cheats, slapping together a mega-montage of exciting moments with a pumping soundtrack. Not Codemasters with Grid 2, no sir. Codies today put out two actual gameplay trailers for its long-awaited race 'em up sequel, showing complete laps from two tracks. How refreshing!

I was wondering why they were sliding all over the place on tarmac and then I realized it's all american muscle cars. However I also remember the first Grid being pretty slidey too, kind of turned me off on the game altogether.

I honestly expect CM to produce a failure of a sequel, like they did with the DIRT series, following the first game. CM hasn't produced a quality racing game since the first dirt and grid entries, and after three terrible dirt sequels I no longer believe that they are capable of doing so. I'm guessing that key talent moved on after dirt 1.

So I'm nuts for thinking DiRT 3 is some of the most fun I've had racing? With a wheel, hood cam, no assists, and no HUD ... mmmmmmm..
