Assassin's Creed 'Ezio Trilogy' compilation is PS3-exclusive
by Steve Watts, Sep 26, 2012 5:30pm PDTThe PlayStation 3 is getting yet another exclusive compilation to let players catch up on some games they might have missed. But unlike collections like the recent Ratchet or Infamous sets, this one is a third-party series. The Assassin's Creed franchise spun off into a mini-trilogy in the middle of its trilogy, and it's being compiled onto one Blu-ray.
The appropriately-named "Ezio Trilogy" features Assassin's Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations. It will release on November 13 for $39.99, just a couple weeks after Assassin's Creed 3 hits stores. The collection will also include the downloadable content from AC2, and Brotherhood and Revelations' multiplayer modes.
The story does follow an arc to completion, even if Revelations didn't live up to the critical acclaim of the two other titles. It might serve as a nice extra title for those who jump into the series for the first time in the third game and are subsequently very, very confused.
