PlayStation 3 starts 'Day 1 Digital' for retail games
by Steve Watts, Sep 25, 2012 4:15pm PDTSony has been taking steps into the digital market recently, selling full retail games on the PlayStation Store and even offering some as PlayStation Plus bonuses. But most of these have been older releases, and today the company took the next logical step in its digital push with a new "Day 1 Digital" initiative.
The PlayStation Blog details the move. Through October, eight high-profile releases will hit the PlayStation Store the same day as retail.
The eight games on tap are Resident Evil 6, NBA 2K13, Dishonored, Doom 3: BFG Edition, 007 Legends, Medal of Honor: Warfighter, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, and Assassin's Creed 3. Several are available for pre-order starting today, and some include discounts for Plus members.
Presumably, the deeper push into digital releases won't stop with October, so we'll see another round of games coming in the busy November release month. Now if Sony just starts offering pre-loading for the games, we'd really be getting somewhere.
Kinect for Xbox One coming to PC
Xbox One does not provide any built-in DVR capabilities
Xbox One increases friends lists to 1,000
Xbox One achievements dynamic, not limited to single games

Like how every post has people lambasting the Wii U as weak and outdated when it's been confirmed to have 4 times the RAM and a much better graphics card than the 360 or PS3.
