Company of Heroes 2 outlines pre-order bonuses, collector's edition
by Steve Watts, Sep 20, 2012 3:00pm PDTYou may not have put down your money yet for Company of Heroes 2, but the game features Russian conflict. The Russians have ways of making you talk -- or, you know, pre-order. THQ announced its Digital Collector's Edition today, along with a handful of pre-order goodies.
Pre-orders will get two vehicle skins for the medium-weight German Rotbraun and Soviet Leningrad, and some retailers will be giving away closed beta access. Pre-orders are also getting retailer-exclusive bonuses. Steam users will get unlocks in Team Fortress 2 and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War 2, among others. Origin gets a Soviet Bryansk Front vehicle skin for heavy vehicles. And ShopTHQ orders get the Command Pass, which lets you download extra multiplayer maps and take part in members-only events. Those who want to shop elsewhere will have to get the Command Pass separately.
Meanwhile, the Digital Collector's Edition will be sold for $99.99. It will net you the first three content packs, the Command Pass, exclusive German Whitewash and Soviet Winter Cobblestone tank skins, a Veteran's badge on your profile, and the original Company of Heroes with both expansion packs.
