It's been a difficult month for Dark Souls fans without a gaming PC, stuck hearing others talk about how beautiful the game is in high resolutions at 60fps thanks to mods, and how challenging the boss fights introduced with the 'Artorias of the Abyss' DLC are. Well, they'll have to wait a while longer yet, as publisher Namco Bandai announced today that it'll make the jump from PC onto consoles in late October.
$15 will get you an extra chapter with extra areas, enemies, bosses, friendly NPCs, weapons, armor and whatnot. Add in a PvP matchmaking system and bosh, you're done. Yes, $15. Bite down and prove how much of a masochist you are. It'll hit PlayStation 3 on October 23 then Xbox 360 on October 24.
If you're one of the lucky playing on PC, you already have Artorias, so let's take a moment to talk mods. You really should be using the DSfix mod to play in the resolution of your dreams, then combine that with the 60fps mod to double the framerate cap. Happy days!
