by Alice O'Connor, Sep 19, 2012 6:00am PDTKeiji Inafune's zombie-slaying ninja 'em up revealed last week under the codename 'Yaiba' is in fact Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, starring a fallen ninja resurrected as a cyborg to slay Ryu Hayabusa. A collaboration between series creator Team Ninja, Inafune's studio Comcept, and Lost Planet 3 developer Spark Unlimited, it's being made for unspecified consoles.
The announcement was made today at an event just ahead of the Tokyo Game Show. "The reality, for a lot of creators, is that they can't make the games that they really want to make. There are boundaries and rules and people that have some say. I'm very happy that I'm here today being able to make the games that I really want to make," Eurogamer reports Inafune said.
