Bad Piggies gameplay trailer is nothing like Angry Birds

While there have been countless iterations of the Angry Birds series, don't expect Rovio's next spinoff to look anything like the avian moneymaker. Bad Piggies may have its roots in the Angry Birds franchise, but it looks more like Amazing Alex than anything else.

If you were expecting to see slingshots, prepared to be disappointed. Instead of having to build fortified defenses against flying foes, your goal in Bad Piggies is to create crazy vehicles on a quest to steal those delicious, delicious eggs. Once you build your crazy contraption, you'll have to steer it through the level to your goal.

"As far as the gameplay goes, Bad Piggies and Angry Birds are complete opposites," Rovio's Petri Järvilehto told Yahoo! Games. "Angry Birds smash things up, Bad Piggies build stuff. The pigs are all about making plans and building things, even--and especially--when they don't work!"

Give the game is a "sibling" of Angry Birds, you can expect a huge marketing push for Bad Piggies. In fact, if there's demand, we'll probably see as many sequels as Angry Birds did. "This is a long-term commitment," Rovio VP Ville Heijari said.

Check out the debut trailer here. Bad Piggies will be out on September 27th.

Looks like an evolution of Happy Wheels. The physics look identical to it too.
