It's all about the Wii U today after Nintendo's announcement of the November 18 launch date and $300 basic price point. Nintendo also announced more than 50 games for the new platform to come sometime in the console's launch window (i.e. launch date to March 31), including Assassin's Creed 3, Mass Effect 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. Then there are the exclusives, including Bayonetta 2 and the creative-looking The Wonderful 101, both from Platinum Games.

Of course we weren't going to get anything positive from Garnett on the Wii U...

Can you explain me why the Wii U price would be an issue at 350 $ when the 360 last year was selling like hotcakes at 400 $ with Kinect ?

350 $ is less than the 360 and the PS3 as launch.

50 games between November and March !

New Super Mario Bros U ( looks really nice by the way ), Black Ops 2, Zombi U, Rayman Legends, Assassin's Creed 3,

Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Bayonetta 2 !!!

The Wii U will be sold out for sure ! Gamestop is already getting tons of preorders.

The best thing is that everybody is excited and Metroid, Zelda, Smash, Pokemon did not even show up yet...

The Wii U will do just fine Garnett, so please don't take one, so the people who wants it won't have to buy for 500 $ on Ebay :)

There's hardly any buzz for this product at all - in fact, I'm fairly shocked at how much apathy I've seen online towards the launch date news. Doesn't bode well for this new console, I'd say.

I think people are finally wising up to being burned by Nintendo. They always launch strong then the things are collecting dust after a year or two.

If the Wii U turns out good, then great. But there is no way I'm buying one for a while until there looks like there is going to be a solid, continued support by 3rd parties.

i bought a wii the christmas it launched. I've never been more disappointed in a console. They would have to pull some serious shit to get me to buy again.

I just bought a new PC anyways so i'll probably skip the next console generation all together.
