Molyneux needs Curiosity beta testers

Peter Molyneux has opened a call for beta testers to come try out 22Cans' first game experiment, Curiosity.

If you've ever longed to take part in the testing process for an experimental iPhone game, Peter Molyneux has your number. His studio's first title, Curiosity, needs beta testers this week. The beta application is open for anyone with some spare time before Friday.

"Hopefully these people will give honest feedback on what Curiosity is like, and spot some of the flaws in this totally unique experience," reads a message on 22Cans' Facebook page. "If you are interested, and you have a spare hour at about 16:00 GMT Tuesday-Friday then please apply below." That's 8 AM PST.

Despite an impending name change, the theme of this experiment is curiosity, making an apropos fit for beta testers who want to see what it's all about. The application even asks, "Why are you curious?" We're not necessarily saying that this beta test itself is part of some insane Molyneux thought exercise; we're just saying we wouldn't be surprised.

I can see the rationale behind the name change at the time, but now.... it seems Mars Curiosity is losing media focus.

Molyneux is the cure to my curiosity.

      Haha, too harsh?

Maybe if he starts to make better stuff to justify his reputation.
