Just briefly on that alien poll again (#9)... Yeah, I thought Steve was talking about aliens "at Earth" probably because of the "No, Weather Balloons!" option (making me think he's talking about XFiles or Roswell type stuff). Anyway, you're completely right about the very high probability of life elsewhere in space and time. I think that's pretty exciting stuff, and it's also that cool Steve links to current sci and tech articles now and then... Just one of the things that keeps me checking in on this site. (Sorry for interrupting the Vampire discussion, i'm done). -Randy

To give my opinion of Vampire a little perspective.. I have NEVER enjoyed an RPG. FF7 got boring after the first CD. Baldurs Gate got boring about halfway throught he first CD. Countless other RPGs that have been considered "good" by reviewers and people who frequent these comments have bored me to tears. Vampire happens to be the first RPG I have ever played that grabbed my attention and had me begging for more the entire way through the game.

This game fucking OWNED. I finished beating it about 4 days ago.. And no slimjim, this game isn't anywhere even close to theif/requiem. Its a full fledged RPG with FPS quality graphics. Think Diablo2 with a better story and 10x better graphics... And its a lot more of an RPG than it is a hack/slash dungeon romp.

As far as "why would I want to play it now if I didn't buy it when it came out". You aren't the only person onthe planet, retard. There are a lot of people that haven't even heard of the game yet that might consider buying it. Considering you don't even know what GENRE the game is in...I'd guess you would be one of those people that should consider playing the demo.

No, it's not single player only. The mulitplayer is actually really cool. You have an online DM (called a Storyteller), who can control everything, take control of NPCs and make them talk, spawn random items and experience, etc etc. Basically, it's table roleplaying online. I haven't had much time to play it, cause I've been beating Deus Ex, but what I have played is very cool.
