Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn improvements shown in hour-long video

Final Fantasy XIV was so shoddy at launch that Square Enix suspended subscriptions until after it had been patched up a bit. It's still a bit dodgy, but a huge 'Version 2.0' update is coming to reboot it and make everything lemony fresh, as detailed in a new hour-long presentation.

Producer and director Naoki Yoshida took to the stage at an event on September 1 celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series to show off the many ways it's being improved.

old ideas? you mean the gaming industry is so full of new ideas that it reinvents itself?

I'd like to live in that world.

This is not entirely true, i have played almost every MMO out there. I have seen it change slowly for the better and shape up into a different being. Guild Wars 2 tho even with its great ideas felt like a step backwards. This is my opinion so relax, the crafting / gathering seems good but the end game pvp and no healer / tank roles for me feels like it takes a step outta mmo and a step into Action RPG.

I miss the healer / tank role.
