Ghost Recon Online 'on hold' for Wii U
by John Keefer, Sep 06, 2012 1:00pm PDTUbisoft has put the Wii U version of Ghost Recon Online "on hold" indefinitely so it can focus exclusively on the PC version of the game.
"As of right now, the entire Ghost Recon team is focused on the PC version only," producer Theo Sanders said, adding "the Wii U version is on hold."
Ghost Recon Online was one of the very first games to be showcased on Nintendo's new console. It demonstrated how the GamePad could be used in unique ways. However, not all is lost. Speaking to Videogamer, Sanders noted that "if in the future we have an opportunity to address it again, we'll make future announcements. But as of right now we're focused completely on the PC version."
An open beta for the PC version of the game launched last month.
