The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot brings free-to-play user-generated dungeon crawling to PC
by Steve Watts, Sep 06, 2012 1:30pm PDTAs part of Ubisoft's showcase today, the company announced The Mighty Quest for Epic Loot. The free-to-play game is being developed by Ubisoft Montreal, and a closed alpha is launching on PC early this month.
The game centers around hoarding money and showboating your wealth. As a brand new resident of Opulencia, you'll be tasked with building the nicest castle to keep up with the Joneses. To build your wealth, you'll need to create a hero from a variety of classes and loot player-created castles to find treasure chests. But your neighbors will want to steal from you too, so you'll also have to fill your own castle with traps and monsters.
It sounds like a hefty genre mash-up, so it seems tricky to blend all of them together. If you want to try it out yourself, you can head to the official site to sign up for the closed alpha.
