Trine 2: Goblin Menace DLC arrives next week
by Alice O'Connor, Aug 30, 2012 4:15pm PDTGoblins are a menace. We know this because Trine 2's DLC campaign Goblin Menace says so in its name, and next week we'll get to find out exactly why they are a menace. But they definitely are. Developer Frozenbyte today announced it'll launch on for PC and Mac on September 6 for $7, though if you own the Collector's Edition on Steam you get to to play a bit of it right now for free.
A two-level "beta" is available from now until launch to everyone who owns the Collector's Edition of Trine 2 on Steam, containing the first two levels. Consider it more of a demo, really.
Goblin Menace adds a six-level mini-campaign along with some new skills for your Thief, Knight and Wizard. It'll be included with Trine 2: Director's Cut on Wii U, of course.
To go along with this, Frozenbyte has released a "major" Trine 2 patch on Steam which finally adds arrows showing where other players are in multiplayer, along with tweaks and fixes.
Frozenbyte showed off a neat trailer last week, and today we have some shiny new screenshots:
