Supergiant's gorgeous Bastion is making its way to iPad in just a few hours. It will be available for $4.99 on the App Store.

The iOS version of the game features all the content from the original Xbox 360/PC release. Of course, it has been tweaked to work with touch controls and will support Game Center achievements and Retina display on the new iPad.

There are two control options to choose from. "Classic Controls" will offer a virtual joystick and virtual buttons. The default controls, however, seem far more streamlined. "Touch anywhere on the screen to move to that point, or press and hold onscreen to make the Kid move in that direction. Double-tap to perform a quick Evasive Roll. The Kid will attack automatically when foes or obstacles get in range," the Supergiant blog details.

Bastion will only work on iPad 2 and the new iPad. The game will not run on the original iPad due to "technical reasons." Supergiant also chose not to develop the game for iPhone, as "the game experience would not translate well to the iPhone's smaller screen." The game will be available to download here once it's live on the App Store.
