Shack PSA: Final Fantasy VII now on PC
by Steve Watts, Aug 15, 2012 8:15am PDTFinal Fantasy VII has finally hit the PC, after a brief false start a week ago. The company has released a launch trailer to mark the event, and it can be purchased on Square Enix's online store for $9.99.
The list price is $11.99, so it seems the company is holding a launch sale. Despite an earlier leak, the game isn't available on Steam, so you'll have to go the Square route if you want the game sooner than later. As previously reported, this version of the game includes achievements, cloud saves, and a character booster to cheat your way through tough spots. Check out the trailer below.

It looks like Square Enix dusted off the PC port that used MIDI and made it run on Windows 7, use achievements, etc.
For music purposes the PSX version's a better deal at the moment.
