It's easy to be skeptical of God of War: Ascension's multiplayer mode. As with all single player games that go online, fans are typically wary. Thankfully, fans will be able to get an early taste of the game's competitive offerings with a brand new global beta--"available exclusively first to PlayStation Plus subscribers."

Speaking to the PlayStation.Blog, game director Todd Papy talks about how "it's critical to our team that we receive as much community feedback to tune and prime our multiplayer mode," especially before the game's March release.

While there will be other ways of getting into the Ascension beta, Papy points out that the upcoming God of War Saga collection includes a one month trial of Plus, which can be used to access the beta. Synergy!
