En Masse settles Tera suit with NCSoft
by John Keefer, Aug 10, 2012 3:30pm PDTEn Masse has finally settled its lawsuit with NCSoft over whether developer Bluehole Studios had used proprietary material from Lineage 3 in developing its MMO Tera. No details were available, other than En Masse maintains its innocence, but the info comes on the heels of En Masse laying off an undisclosed number of employees.
"We are happy to have this distraction behind us," En Masse Corporate Development Director Yong Taek Bae said in a release. "We appreciate the support from all those who have believed in us. Our priority has been and always will be our fans and community. TERA will continue to thrive and provide a great player experience and value to existing and new gamers alike."
The suit, filed in January, alleged the theft of "copious amounts of proprietary NCsoft information, computer software, hardware and artwork related to Lineage 3," by Bluehole's founders, former employees who worked on the game prior to leaving to start their new company.
