Netflix 'Just for Kids' now on Xbox 360

The Xbox 360 Netflix app has added a "Just for Kids" option, ensuring that children can find safe viewing.

Netflix has gotten a little more kid-friendly on Xbox 360. The app has added a "Just for Kids" menu option, featuring only child-appropriate programming and tailored categories for the little ones. It's a little more colorful, and will recommend new shows based on kids' viewing history just like the grown-up version of the application.

Categories follow some of the same structure, but also contain listings for "Robots" and "Girl-Power" to name a few. Just in case your kid is old enough to turn on a movie but not old enough to read, the app has a character selector too. This option has been on the Wii and PlayStation 3, for a while, so now this rounds out all of the console viewing options. If nothing else, you won't have to explain a myriad of terrible realities about the world after your eight-year-old watches The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Because hey, dragons!

Cool feature. I wish it could keep my recient viewed movies and my kids' seperate. I hate logging on after work, only to find "Sponge Bob" as the last viewed movie.
