Zen Pinball 2 will release on PlayStation 3 and Vita on September 4, Zen Sudios has announced. The game will serve as a free update to current owners of Zen Pinball and Marvel Pinball, and one purchase will net you both the PS3 and Vita version.

The game will also get a new table based on a PopCap game, but Zen Studios isn't saying which one until PAX Prime in late August. The PopCap table will also be available on the Xbox Live Arcade game Pinball FX 2 starting September 5. On the Sony systems, the game will feature new trophies, social features, and rule sheets to better understand the tables. And of course, the game will remain free to download as a base system with purchasable tables. Each of the 26 can be sampled for free before you buy.
