keen games is tasked with developing the standalone spin-off title. Unlike the original Sacred games, Citadel is a multiplayer side-scrolling action brawler with drop-in/drop-out co-op for up to three players.

The game will be distributed via PlayStation Network, Xbox Live Arcade, and PC digital services next year. Unfortunately for Sacred fans, this was not the game they've been holding out for. "I was waiting Sacred 3 info today... not some cr**py Disney cartoon game," one person commented on the game's official reveal trailer on YouTube.

Boo-effin-hoo. You poor, entitled little twit. I'm sure they're very sad the world doesn't revolve around your sense of entitlement, but the game you're actually waiting for will come out when it's done.

Perhaps they should load up Unity and make their own game if they think it's that easy to sh*t out a new game. And the fact that these two teams making these very different games probably don't even use the same people probably never entered into whiner's pin-head.

That said, looking forward to both games. :p

WTF? Ok I am a MEGA Sacred 2 fan and have the Expansion too Ice/Blood Dragon Mage ftw. Anyways for me Sacred 2 is the greatest ARPG ever created(my opinion) and the most played game I have in my massive library even with the shitty bugs left when the company went under I still play the sucker every week. I keep making new builds lving up and searching for pimp loot and making better spell combos etc so many options and points and choices.

This plays, looks and is nothing like Sacred I am really sad and pissed off. All I can say is Sacred 3 better not be anything close to resembling this I have been waiting for Sacred 3 ever since the bankruptcy and the announcement that Sacred 3 will live on... and this is what we get?

Ok after raging and just looking at the game and ignoring the name Sacred, visually it looks cool and seem to be like Golden Axe + game I will try it out doesn't look bad.

All I really have to say is show me what your doing to Sacred 3 and it batter not be anything like this.

I am totally weirded out.... I hope Sacred 3 will own please.. oh please... well Torchlight 2 will be out soon so I guess it if sucks ballz I will be gutted but at least we have TL2 if it end up like shit.

If I had to guess, I'd say that this will only be a side-project that they're doing before working on Sacred 3.

Plus this 'prologue' actually looks really cool, especially when compared to other side-projects to RPGs that have been done in the past.

No you are right I calmed down after saying WTF, just look at say DA prologue that web game this is way way better than that so I agree,

The thing is I freaking love everything about Sacred 2 minus the bugs. I really wish they stick to that style so I am not a fan of a art change or anything else drastic, that's all. So this threw some of us off I think that's all.

Art sort of looks like SilverFall which I am a big fan of so its not bad its just not what I want for Sacred 3.

          We will see.

I'm still a bit miffed about them not releasing the Sacred 2 expansion in the US.

You could of totally got the Sacred 2 Gold version that had the expansion. Some UK stores let you do a DD of the game too will try and find the link.

Not to rub it in the Expansion made the game just EPIC with the additions and the new class, wands and staffs actually shot projectiles with a talent that was worth it alone for Mage builds and wand shield builds new lands where freaking rad too.

Yous should still be able to get it look for UK stores --> http://www.gamersgate.co.uk/DD-S2G/sacred-2-gold-edition-bundle

When you activate the game make sure you run the installer as Admin and then set you ini file to none full screen or you may have some activation issues on Win7 it totally works just some small fyis or work arounds if you get issues.

LoL, fuck this company and/or whomever is responsible for Sacred 2. Bought Sacred 2 on Steam and I have no key to play the game let alone if I did I could not play the expansion pack that came out in the UK.

Until they give Steam a key so I can enjoy the 2nd then follow it up with a NA release of the expansion I will not support this company. That is all.

Wow, that is completely retarded. Since you can't actually play it, couldn't you ask Valve for a refund?

Tried that. There's a HUGE thread about it on the Sacred series Steam board and nothing was ever done about it, but then again I never followed up on it after my claim. Seems you gotta jump through too many loops to get refunds from Steam.
